Somatic Movement Workshop
Registration OpenWhether you spend your time driving, working from a phone or computer, or you’re on your feet all day, the stress of life can lead to back pain, neck and shoulder tension, headaches, exhaustion and more.
This gentle and restorative movement workshop is designed to help relieve your stress and let go of the tight muscles that cause pain and discomfort so you can feel better, move better, sleep better, and enjoy your life more. Somatic movements are simple and transformative. You will learn to feel and sense your own body more wholly as your muscles “wake up” and patterns of tension melt away.
In this workshop, you will learn key principles behind somatic movement education including:
how accumulated stress can affect your physical, mental, and emotional health
what are the 3 patterns of stress reflexes and how to effectively release your unique habituated pattern
how somatic movements work to re-establish your brain’s control of the muscles in your body
This workshop is lead by Essential Somatics® movement teacher-in-training, Liz Espinoza
